"I'm Japanese." She disguised at Traffic Accident.
Ms. Lee Hwa Soo drived Official car of Krean residence representation part whose numer is 'Forein 0455'. Her car and a taxi make minor traffic accident at Crossing in Taipei-city. Both of them appeal that the cause is other party. The police asks her and she insist she is Japanese. So, the police check out her status. Finally she is 'fake Japanese'
Ms. Lee execuses that Taiwanese police is bum and Their treatment for me will be better if I say Japanese.
The accident was happened at 13:55. Ms. Lee announced herself as Japanse and begin to speak Japanese when the police officer was arrived. The officer is good at English but she speaks Japanese only. So, The officer call the Japan Exchange Association. Fortunately, no Japanse come to the accident location.
One hour later, Korean people come to the accident location. The officer find out Ms. Lee is family of Korean diplomat. The officer said she want to hide the accident to her husband and I don't know why she appeal she was the Japanse.

It seems that most of Koreans say I'm Japanse if something works against their interest at foreign country.
We asked Koreans about this behavior. The Korean says It is no choice.

「自分は日本人」交通事故で偽る
　 韓国の台湾駐在代表部の公用車ナンバー「外0455」を付けた車を運転していたLEE HWA SOOさん（女性・42歳）は12月15日午後、台北市重慶南路と北平西路の交差点で、タクシーと軽い接触事故を起こした。お互い相手のせいだと言い張っ て一歩も譲らなかったため、警察が現場に出向いて事故処理に当たった。警察の問いに対して、LEEさんが自分は日本人だと主張したことから、警察が女性の 身分を調べたところ、女性は結局「ニセ日本人」。
　LEEさんは「台湾の警察はいいかげんだが、自分が日本人だと言ったら、待遇がよくなるのではないかと思った」と弁解した。
　 事故が発生したのは午後１時55分。LEEさんは警察官が現場に駆けつけたのを見てすぐに、自分のことを日本人だと名乗り日本語で話し始めた。外事課に 英語が得意な警察官がいたが、LEEさんが日本語しか話さなかったため、日本交流協会に至急連絡した。事故処理が終わるまでに日本側の関係者が現場に到着 しなかったのは幸いだった。
　警察が処理を始めて１時間ほどすると、韓国側の関係者が集まってきた。警察はLEEさんが運転していた車のナンバー から、ようやくLEEさんが韓国の外 交官の家族であることを突き止めたのである。警察官は、「LEEさんの様子から判断すると、夫に知られるのを恐れているようだったが、なぜ自分は日本人で あると言い張ったのか分からない」と話している。
